MORE Care Ohio Impact Report Released

Oral Health Ohio is pleased to share the MORE Care Ohio Impact Report, highlighting the outcomes of a two-year, medical-dental integration pilot in partnership with CareQuest Institute for Oral Health. 

From November 2022 to November 2024, MORE Care Ohio reached nearly 20,000 pediatric patients across three health system-affiliated or private pediatric medical practices, and four private dental practices in Adams, Lawrence, Lucas, Pike and Scioto counties.

MORE Care Ohio providers were supported through a learning management system, coaching, and an alternative payment model (APM) that incentivized quality data reporting and performance in care delivery.

The pilot showed measurable improvements in how oral health services were delivered to children.

The experiences and lessons learned through MORE Care Ohio led to valuable recommendations for advancing collaboration among a range of stakeholders, both within the state and nationally, to improve oral health for all.
