Oral Health Ohio is thrilled to announce its participation in a project awarded $192,000 by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to enhance the oral health workforce and access care in North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Additionally, $146,359 in matching funds from HealthPath Foundation of Ohio, Appalachian Children Coalition, North Carolina Oral Health Collaborative, Pennsylvania Coalition for Oral Health, and West Virginia Oral Health Coalition will bring the total project funding to $338,409.

PROJECT SUMMARY
HealthPath Foundation of Ohio will use ARISE funding to develop an oral health workforce pathway, focusing on entry-level positions like dental assisting, to create sustainable careers in Appalachia NC, OH, PA and WV. It will leverage existing programs, forge new partnerships, recruit local residents, and collaborate with employers to ensure workforce growth and retention.
